Mr Patrick O'Toole, MB BCh BAO, MCh, FFSEM, FRCS (Tr & Orth)
Patrick O’Toole is a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in paediatric orthopaedics and adult lower limb reconstruction, including hip and knee, primary and revision arthroplasty surgery. He also has a subspecialty interest in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery especially concerning hip pathology in the Paediatric and Adolescent patient.
He is an honours graduate of University College Dublin (2000) and was awarded a Masters in Surgery in 2010. He completed the Higher Surgical Training Program in Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed a one-year fellowship at The Rothman Institute in Philadelphia in Lower Limb Reconstructive Arthroplasty and also completed a two-year fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in the United States.
Mr. O'Toole also has an interest in Paediatric Sports Medicine and received the Oded Bar-Or award in 2010 at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) for the best paediatric sports paper presentation.
He has published numerous original research papers and has also published numerous book chapters in both adult lower limb arthoplasty and paediatric orthopaedic surgery.
