Welcome to St. Josephs Ward
St. Josephs ward is 18 bedded ward that cares for patients with Orthopeadic and Gastro – Intestinal (G.I.) needs. Within the ward we have various different rooms: Single rooms, Double rooms and a 3 bedded ward. Our Single rooms are allocated on patient medical need and not based on private health insurance. Unfortunately we do not have Private rooms based on Private Health insurances.
Your child will have an allocated nurse both day and night. This staff member will care for you and your child. Your nurse will inform you of the plan for your child. If you have any questions/queries please ask your nurse. There is also a ward manager on duty, if you wish to communicate with them, please ask.
Due to COVID some restrictions on visiting are in place as indicated in the website home page. All children must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times. One parent /Guardian (over the age 18yrs) may stay at the bedside at night. Also all visitors are requested to be mindful of all patients on the ward.
